Company Highlight

Over the last ten years, we’ve made some big strides here at Kevel. We’ve developed our decisioning, management, and reporting capabilities; grown our company to almost 90 employees; and secured Series A and B funding. Most importantly, we’ve helped 100s of brands build custom, user-friendly ad platforms, helping them take back the Internet from ad tech industry giants.

We’re happy to announce another milestone: our first acquisition. This month we acquired Velocidi, an audience segmentation and customer data platform. The acquisition will enable us to enhance user segmentation and content personalization in a privacy-first way through Velocidi’s machine learning tools. Velocidi’s full-time employees will all be joining Kevel.

Velocidi and Kevel

This acquisition expands our product offering in multiple ways. For publishers looking to monetize their first-party data, Velocidi’s machine learning audience tools make it easy to build valuable user segments for advertiser targeting. Likewise, marketers looking to do on-site or in-app content personalization can use this technology to build segments to target with different messaging, products, and offers. All audience segmentation is compliant with global regulations and utilizes first-party data collection, enabling brands and advertisers to have full control over their data.

Velocidi’s dedication to privacy-first audience segmentation aligns well with Kevel’s vision of privacy-first digital monetization. We’re thrilled to partner with them to offer more functionality to both our customers and theirs. By enabling more functionality for advertisers to target their customers, publishers have the opportunity to build ad platforms that can compete with ones from Amazon, Walmart, and eBay." Paulo Cunha, CEO of Velocidi.

"Together with Velocidi, Kevel takes a step forward in its mission of keeping the Internet open and free. It’s important to us that every company has the tools to drive new revenue and take back the internet from the digital monopolies. By marrying together Kevel’s ad serving platform with Velocidi’s audience tools, we’ve made it even easier to build a new, high-margin revenue stream that doesn’t compromise on the user experience or security." James Avery, CEO and founder of Kevel

We remain committed to the vision that every online retailer and publisher should be able to add privacy-focused ad revenue streams and take back the Internet from Google, Amazon, Facebook, and other digital monopolies. With the help of Velocidi’s team and customer data platform, we can better empower businesses to activate first-, second-, and third-party data.

We can’t wait to see and share what the future holds for this partnership.
