Claire is from Portland but has recently made the move to Miami, Florida.
What brought you to Kevel?
I applied online without knowing anyone at the company, mostly just looking to work at a startup with smart and compassionate people. What sealed the deal was the interview with my now manager, who was exactly what I was looking for out of a leader and colleague.

What part of your job and the company are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about the culture at Kevel. I have never worked somewhere that made me feel as valued for my individual skills, and regularly noticed how much effort I put in. I have made so many close friends that transcend work because we all truly root for each other.

What is unique about working for Kevel?
Kevel has a high performance culture while still treating us as adults and allowing us to have autonomy over how/where we work. I’m grateful to be able to work from wherever I need to, in the hours that work best for my responsibilities.
What is something surprising that not many people know about you?
While working full time in tech, I got a Masters’s in Clinical Psychotherapy and practiced as a therapist. Mental health is a huge passion of mine.
What is one thing that you do to help balance professional and home life?
Balancing work and life is easiest when I keep my body moving! I believe movement is medicine, and I always feel better after a workout or a long walk.

What are some of your favorite things you like to do outside of work?
I love going to see music, traveling, and finding ways to give back. I sit on the board for a youth foundation and love the opportunity to volunteer with them whenever I can.
